NEKAJUI, A RITZ CARLTON RESERVE - Conference Source Incentive Week

There are corporate dinners, and then there are moments.

Last month, we had the privilege of producing something truly special for a top-tier incentive group as part of the Conference Source program in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Our mission? To transform an evening at Niri Restaurant – located inside the ultra-exclusive NEKAJUI, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve – into an intimate, soul-stirring fusion of flamenco and live music.

Spoiler: we delivered.

Setting the Scene

From the moment our 48 guests arrived at Niri, they knew this wasn't going to be a standard banquet dinner. Perched above the Pacific coast, with jungle whispering behind them and ocean stretching endlessly ahead, the setting was already cinematic. But we wanted more.

We wanted fuego.

The evening began with a bespoke cocktail hour. A local guitarist played soft classical Spanish melodies while our mixologists served passionfruit sangría and spicy jalapeño margaritas – all arranged by us. The group relaxed, mingled, and watched the sun melt into the Golfo de Papagayo.

Behind the Scenes: Total Coordination with the Client

Before the first note was played, we logged countless hours of conversations with the client. We talked a lot. Every detail – from the exact placement of the stage to the timing of the musical transitions, from the flow of guests to the lighting cues – was reviewed, approved, and fine‑tuned together.

The restaurant handled the menu independently (and beautifully, we might add). Our job was everything else: artist booking, sound equipment, stage design, guest flow, timing, and the overall atmosphere. And we took that responsibility seriously.

The Main Event: Flamenco Under the Stars

At 7:00 PM sharp, the tone shifted.

A single acoustic guitar started – just a few haunting notes. Then a voice, raw and deep, rose into the ocean breeze. And finally, the bailarina stepped onto the wooden stage, her silence speaking as loudly as her footwork.

We brought together a three‑piece ensemble: a flamenco guitarist, a cantaor (singer), and a female flamenco dancer. No cajón. No percussion. Just guitar, voice, and the percussive force of her zapateados against the stage.

For 45 minutes, the group watched in near silence – only broken by gasps and spontaneous applause. Her swirling skirts caught the firelight. Her arms arched like branches in the wind. And the guitarist and singer played off every one of her movements as if they shared one soul. This wasn't background music. This was raw, honest, intimate flamenco.

Between short sets, our guitarist stayed on stage, weaving in soft Latin and contemporary Costa Rican rhythms – keeping the energy alive through the dinner hour.

The Unplanned Magic

Here's what you don't see on the run sheet.

After the final ole, one of our guests – a VP from a large tech firm – asked the bailarina to teach him a basic flamenco step. Within minutes, half the group was on the terrace attempting clumsy but joyful turns. The guitarist played quietly in the background. Laughter echoed through the jungle.

That moment alone was the entire point of an incentive trip: not just reward, but connection.

Why This Worked for a Conference Source Incentive

As event producers, we know that incentive groups don't need more meetings. They need experiences worth traveling for.

This flamenco and live music night at Niri checked every box:

  • Exclusivity – NEKAJUI is one of the most private luxury resorts in the Americas

  • Authenticity – Real flamenco artists, not a track (guitar, voice, and dance – pure and simple)

  • Seamless production – From sound design to guest flow, we handled every detail after deep collaboration with the client

  • Emotional payoff – Guests still talk about the bailarina's final solo under the moonlight

Final Clap

Here's the truth about what we do:

We bring the performer. You bring your clients or employees. We do everything else.

The venue? We coordinate with them. The sound? Set up and tested. The timing, the lighting, the flow, the backup plan, the surprise magic moments – all on us. You just show up with your people and take the credit.

If you're planning an incentive program in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, and you want more than a "nice dinner" – give us a call. We'll turn a restaurant terrace into an intimate Spanish tablao. We'll talk with you until every detail is perfect. We'll bring the fire.

You bring the team. We'll make them remember this night forever.
